NAV display question

Anyone with a NAV have any problems reading the display? Mine is washed out, almost like the contrast of the display isn't right. I had a NAV unit in my 02 325xiT and never had a problem.

I've tried adjusting the brightness both to max and min, neither one helps.

The display on my X3 is fine. I have no problem reading it. Have you talked to your dealer about this?

I'm bringing the car in tomorrow for Lojack install, I'll have them look at it then.

The display in my 2001 X5 is just fine..

Well, I have it back, and the dealer and the BMW tech both say the display is working as designed, that the tilt control for the display head is intended to help with the display settings....

I asked them to look at the display in a 5 or 7 Series, but I was told that was not a good comparison, the X3 uses a different display head..

Red, can you post a photo of your Nav display (either on a map display or the Settings page)? I'd like to see what someone else's system looks like. Maybe this is a temperature-related thing.
