e30 Noooob

Hi everyone...I'm sure you guys roll your eyes when noobs sign on with their dumbazz noob questions but...


I have a couple dumbazz noob questions.


Where in the world did the vaunted Bavarian engineers hide the safety latch for the hood of an e30? And where did said engineers hide the gas door latch?


Whew...glad I got those off my chest. And thanks in advance.

Hahaha, welcome to the board! First, there is no such thing as a safety latch on an E30. The hood opens backwards. Second, there is no latch to open the gas door. If you can't get it open, the pin from the solenoid is stuck... you'll have to pull the carpet out of the trunk and remove the solenoid. Pretty easy job.

Any other questions, don't be affraid to ask.... there are a handfull of really knowledgable E30 guys on this board, and we're always here to assist. (esp. with easy noob questions!!)
