Anyone been to the Dragon Tail???

ANYONE who has driven this before give me some info !!! I want to organize a ride and drive from Atlanta in early December. I want to know if it's a worthy challenge and if the cops are as bad as they say!!

The cops are starting to crack down on that road due to the recent jump in accident rates.

318 Curves in 11 Miles, it is fun regardless of ride. When I first got my 330 convertible and drove it home to Tennessee, I rode in front of and behind 100's of bikes.......the accident rate is high though....many of what I call crotch rockets. The roads have been left natural so it is easy to go off the side when you act like an idiot with speed.

Notice, the THP is all over the Dragon these days - one of the best world-known roads, reduced to the worlds most over-policed 11 mile stretch of road ever.

No deaths in 11 months before the 'step up' in THP activity. 3 deaths in 3 months time since 'stepped up activities' of the THP within 20 miles of the 'dragon' stretch.

Go to NC, they got nice roads there and don't peg you at 20-25 on them!

What a fantastic looking road, all the corners are cambered correctly (from the photo's)
Who woulden't break the law on that road
