What a fun lunch I had with a 911.
I pulled up behind a 911 Carrera and I noticed this guy checking out my car in his mirrors. I am sure he was trying to determine what it was as the look of the car is still not very common here when compared to other BMW’s.
Anyway, he was clearly trying to see what I could do by the way he took off from the light, pounding his car for all it was worth. By the second light I was fully prepared and we both nailed it having plenty of space and an almost ideal environment. He got ahead almost immediately but not by as much as I expected.
We were cautious and only went to about 55-60 MPH tops. We had about 3 stops and starts and I must say I was very impressed with how well my car did against his. Obviously, he has the higher performance car but I did very well and much better than I expected, it was not a complete blowout of little competitiveness. I think he was even impressed a bit.
I tell you my car is unbelievable, it feels like it is on tracks. A good benefit for the rough ride.
