Japanese 1989 318i information

Dear all,
Just got hold of my first Bimmer, the above 1989 318i automatic imported some years ago into New Zealand from Japan.
I'm new to BMWs & at day three love it heaps.
Any useful info you can throw my way would be appreciated.
I would be looking for driving tips & maintenance schedule to start. The manual is in Japanese only!!!!

A quick search in your favorite search engine should produce a manual to your spec. Also, try www.bavauto.com, they have a host of manuals to choose from. Either that, or learn Japanese real quick. Kanji is the easiest to pick up so start with that and you'll also need to learn to read from left to right and vertically. Happy hunting.
